Avoid scrubbing or using exfoliants. Moisturize: Apply a hydrating moisturizer with natural ingredients like hyaluronic acid, shea butter, or aloe vera. You can also use a hydrating facial mist throughout the day. Protect from the sun: Wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher every day, even if you're indoors. Reapply every two hours if you're in the sun for a long time. You can also wear sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat. Avoid other treatments: Avoid other facial treatments and saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs for at least 24–48 hours. Avoid harsh products: Don't use harsh skincare products or products with alcohol or synthetic fragrances. Avoid chlorine: Avoid chlorine and swimming pools for at least one week. Avoid touching your face: Try not to touch your face. Get enough sleep: Aim for 8 hours of sleep each night to help your body heal.
